Abstract: The Grand Canal National Cultural Park has the “common characteristics” of all national parks in China, which produces an “individual problem”. Due to the uneven distribution of resources in each settlement, the relevant departments implement different planning methods, which has resulted in uneven development in the latitudinal direction. Therefore, the naive approach of applying a single strategy directly and uniformly to the whole region may not be optimal for sustainable development in the longitudinal direction. The canal has transportation functions, and the areas along the route are a gathering of people, resources, and culture from multiple places. This article summarizes the international experience of spatial organic integration from the perspective of spatial inclusivity. Jining and Zaozhuang are typical cities along the canal that "rise and fall due to transport". Using Space syntax and ArcGIS tools, this paper reveals the internal logical characteristics of space formed under the influence of time development and various factors. Based on this, a diversified urban governance strategy and design approach for the construction of the Grand Canal National Cultural Park are proposed to make the park into an engine for economic growth and development for the villages?

Abstract: In this article, we present a multimodal station project located in the north-eastern region of Algeria. A multimodal station project in the context of Chalghoum Laid was proposed by a team of researchers as part of an agreement between the two faculties of architecture and NTIC (2022). Using a mobile application that provides information to customers in real time and gives them data on bus routes, we set out to redefine a facility as complicated as a railway station into a public place with the vocation of an urban centre. Our aim was to create, through the project, a new centrality with built environments that are interactive (validation of journeys), safe and more comfortable to integrate walking as an active mode of transport. Based on a feasibility study of a multimodal station project with a special architecture offering a small footprint and creating user-friendly underground environments, in the context of the urban centre of the medium-sized town of Chalghoum Laid in Algeria, and thanks to an artistic simulation, we concluded that intelligent transport makes it possible to optimise the station infrastructure and its services. This is an effective way of managing traffic and multimodal mobility. It can also be used to eliminate ticket offices during periods of pandemics such as COVID 19. Its use can also improve road safety by reducing the use of vehicles and encouraging walking.

Abstract: Since the establishment of the local amplitude planning marker rights system in 1947, the UK has continued to maintain economic growth through reforms to the planning system, institutional innovation and democratic reform experiments have accelerated since 2000, and the National Planning Policy Framework released in 2012 has guided the national planning system more streamlined and further decentralized. The UK's evolution as a practitioner and innovator in the field of planning systems reform, from land-use planning to spatial planning, and then from centralization to decentralization and devolution, reflects the UK government's institutional innovation in sustainable spatial development, but this democratic reform experiment has also generated a great deal of debate. Compared to other countries, this bottom-up The neo-liberal reforms in the field of planning triggered by this bottom-up planning system have raised concerns about the issue of urban synergy and national strategic ambiguity, but also affirm the loose economic dynamism that this approach to planning brings. This article will sort out and offer an overview of the England infrastructure planning system, analyze and discuss the challenges faced by the UK's current spatial planning system due to the neoliberal transformation, and how the various sectors collaborate, with a focus on the National Road Network.

Abstract: The main feature of Addis Ababa's light railway (AALR) ticketing window is either congestion or underutilized 106 – 137 and 12 - 18 percent respectively. That is why the study set the main objective to analyze and optimize AALR ticketing windows. So, the researcher first studied the problem for the specified ticketing windows. Secondly, establish and analyze the performance of a new model for the current and future design periods. And finally, it recommends the number of clerks based on the findings. The congestion and underutilization problem of each ticketing window is solved through a mathematical method called Queue Theory with a combination of special and statically analysis methods and train timetable optimization of urban railway by Arena. The study indicates that the congestion rate of the AALR at the congested station is between 106 & 137%. Similarly, the underutilization of the ticketing window is between 12 & 18%. Therefore, the result indicates that adding a single clerk could reduce the traffic intensity to 82% in congested windows. Similarly, reducing to 2 clerks can improve up to 35.5% the underutilization window. Finally, the optimum number of clerks required for the rest of the design period is determined and summarized using a combination of queuing theory, spatial and analytical method and Arena software timetable optimization.
